Estate Recovery
Long term healthcare facilities often find themselves with outstanding accounts receivable for deceased residents. The Kay Law Firm assists clients in obtaining payment from a probated estate and, where there is no probated estate, makes the appropriate court application to ensure that a responsible administrator is appointed and the estate addresses making payment to the facility at the earliest possible date. We file applications to compel payment by an estate that unreasonably delays addressing creditor’s payment and protect our client’s claim for payment when an estate files an insolvency proceeding. The Kay Law Firm is often successful in getting the court to require the estate to pay most, if not all, of the legal fees incurred by the facility thereby maximizing client recovery. Simply stated, our strong knowledge and experience of creditor’s rights allows us to maximize recovery when dealing with estate matters.
