After serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Susan L. Reisner, J.S.C. and a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, Marisol began focusing her practice on all areas of nursing home collections, reimbursement recovery and guardianships. Her extensive knowledge of New Jersey’s Medicaid regulations and their practical applications are sought out by clients to help maximize Medicaid revenue. Often such guidance includes having to challenge incorrect Medicaid determinations at both the administrative and appellate division levels.
Marisol’s passionate advocacy in complicated guardianship matters is recognized by probate judges who regularly appoint her as guardian ad litem and counsel for the alleged incapacitated person. She is an active member of the New Jersey Bar Association’s Elder and Disability Law Section and was elected as the Chair for the 2023-2024 term. Marisol has also presented several continuing legal education seminars on guardianship issues.
Marisol previously served a two year term as President of the Guardianship Association of New Jersey, Inc. (GANJI), as well as a three year term on New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Character. She is also a past member of the John C. Lifland American Inn of Court. Before joining The Kay Law Firm, Marisol was counsel to Lite DePalma Greenberg where she was part of the firm’s healthcare and municipal practice groups.
Fluent in Spanish, Marisol enjoys reading, cooking, and supporting the Philadelphia Phillies with her husband and two children.
